Lost Actor Joins Local Film Shoot Cast
WINONA LAKE — “Lost” fans are ecstatic as news of the “Nouvelle Vie” cast list is reaching public ears. The film, which is being shot in the Winona Lake area, has already created a buzz in the community by visiting local businesses and offering locals the chance to participate as an extra, or even an actor in the film.
On July 17, an exciting announcement was posted via the film’s Facebook page announcing Terry O’Quinn, beloved actor of the character John Locke from “Lost,” is joining the film’s cast. According to community reports, O’Quinn has visited a few local eateries since the announcement and has been reported as very kind and humble.
The “Lost” actor is not the only person on set the community is swooning over. James Marsters, the mysterious and unorthodox Spike from “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” also joined the set for the movie, playing the father of the lead character Ben.
The film, (pronounced Noo-vel Vee) is a story of love and hope. Centering around the characters Ben and Ava, the film tells a story about a seven year old boy who finds the love of his life at age 7, standing in his driveway. According to the film’s description on their website, Ava was and always would be, the girl of his dreams.
From the innocence of a childhood friendship, through adolescent attraction, their love strengthens and grows. However the film takes a turn when an event neither were expected calls their entire future into question.
Several Indiana and Warsaw natives have also joined the shoot. Devin Dawson, of Warsaw, has joined the film as one of the lead characters. Dawsom will play the teenage version of Ben.
The film began shooting in the Winona Lake area June 22 and is expected to conclude tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21.
The film’s projected release date is fall of 2016.
