Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident.
12:37 a.m. Thursday, July 30, South SR 25 south of West 250S, Warsaw. Driver: Sydney N. Livengood, 20, South 950W, Mentone. Livengood was traveling too fast around a series of curves and lost control of his vehicle, which overturned and came to rest upside-down. Livengood refused medical attention. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
The Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents.
5:28 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, East Jefferson Street and South McKinley Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Travis J. McConnell, 32, North Mark Lane, Warsaw and Mikki E. Linton, 23, East 600S, Warsaw. McConnell took his eyes off the road and his vehicle traveled left of center, colliding with Linton’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $5,000.
4:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, East Winona Avenue near South Buffalo Street. Drivers: Robert E. Wiser, 51, North Miami Street, Macy and Paula K. Calhoun, 55, East 400S, Warsaw. While preparing to make a lefthand turn, Wiser became distracted and collided with Calhoun. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $2,500.
4:04 p.m. Wednesady, July 29, North Parker Street south of Lake City Highway. Drivers; Dennis D. Vandiver, 61, Halford Street, Anderson and Preston M. West, South Caleb Court, Warsaw. While driving southbound, West hit his brakes to avoid hitting a vehicle in front of him that had stopped abruptly for a traffic light. Vandiver could not stop in time and collided with West. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $2,500.
2:57 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at the intersection of North Detroit Street and East Arthur Street. Driver: Russel E. Creamer, 39, East Smith Street, Milford. Creamer did not notice a truck that had stopped in front of him and swerved to avoid a collision, hitting the curb and causing extensive damage to the tires and wheels of his car. A female passenger complained of lower back pain and was transported by Medic 12. No other injuries were reported. Damage up to $5,000.
2:52 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 1200 Lake City Highway. Drivers: Shawne A. Buller, 49, West Main Street, Warsaw and Kathy A. Kotyuk Doles, East Promontory Point Drive, Syracuse. While backing out of a parking space, Buller did not see Doles’ oncoming vehicle and hit it. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $10,000.
11:44 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, North Detroit Street south of East Arthur Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jessica M. Ulery, 23, Kuder Lane, Warsaw and Benjamin R. Sweeny, 32, North Westerner Winds Drive, Warsaw. Ulery was pulling out of the Pizza Hut parking lot and her vision was blocked by a large truck. Thinking the way was clear, she pulled out and Sweeny’s vehicle collided with hers. No injuries were reported, but Ulery complained of minor pain and EMS personnel checked her at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
