Milo ‘Gene’ Zartman
Milo “Gene” Zartman, 77, Leesburg, passed away at 11:17 a.m. Thursday July 30, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born on March 2, 1938, to Calvin and Hazel (Fishburn) Zartman in Argos.
Gene was united in marriage to Sandra Smith in Oct. 24, 1956, in Lawrenceburg. He has been a Leesburg resident for 53 years. He was a truck driver for 30 years, self-employed as a farmer, and equipment operator for Gawthrop Excavating.
He was a member of Warsaw Church of God and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Gene is survived by his wife: Sandra Zartman, Leesburg; daughter: Kim Zartman, Warsaw; daughter-in-law: Rose Zartman; granddaughter: Alaina Zink; two sisters: Loeta (Curt) Sundstrom, Belle Fourche, S.D.; and Sally Bullock, Hollywood, Fla. He is preceded in death by one son: Tony Zartman, on May 16, 2010.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday August 3, at Warsaw Church of God.
Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday August 4, at Warsaw Church of God, with Pastor Tim Kumfer officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery.
The family is asking that memorial contributions be made to Zartman family care of McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
