Warsaw Man Arrested For Dealing Heroin
Kosciusko County officers arrested a Warsaw man yesterday on charges of dealing heroin.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and Drug Task Force officers arrested Steven Paul Gasaway, 25, Warsaw, on preliminary charges of dealing a Schedule I, II, III, controlled substance.
Gasaway was taken in the custody without incident Friday afternoon during a traffic stop, and then booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a $5,250 bond.
Gasaway was also determined to have his driver’s license suspended by the State of Indiana and was subsequently arrested on that charge as well.
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers stated that the arrest of Gasaway was the culmination of a month-long investigation.
Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine stated that citizens are encouraged to report potential drug related activity to the Drug Task Force via the anonymous TIP line (574) 372-2494.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
