Local Artist Selected For Hoosier Salon Exhibition

INDIANAPOLIS — Two watercolor paintings by Steve Johnson of Warsaw have been juried into the Hoosier Salon 91st Annual Exhibition. The two pieces are titled Roll ‘Em Up & Move ‘Em Out and Suspended Animation.
The Hoosier Salon Annual Exhibition is Indiana’s longest-running art exhibition. It is on display at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center through Sept. 26. The exhibition features 153 works by 126 Indiana artists and is considered the best of Indiana art by Indiana artists. All works in the exhibition are available for sale.
The competition attracts professional artists as well as artists who have recently started. Nearly 500 works were submitted for this year’s exhibition.
To be eligible to enter the annual exhibit, artists must be current Indiana residents or have lived in Indiana for at least a year and be a Hoosier Salon member.
Admission to the Hoosier Salon 91st Annual Exhibition is included in admission to the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center. Admission $7 for adults, $6.50 for seniors 60 and older and $5 for youth ages 5 to 17. Indiana Historical Society members and Hoosier Salon members receive complimentary admission.
