CCS Provides Free School Supplies And Haircuts For Students
WARSAW — It was a busy day out at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds as Combined Community Services hosted its annual Tools for School event. Tools for School is an event that is put on in order to provide students with school supplies such as backpacks and pencils before they head back to school. Students were able to receive free haircuts by local hair stylist who volunteered their time. In addition to school supplies and haircuts, an arts and crafts station was set up for students to enjoy free face-painting and crafts.
Agencies from around Warsaw gathered to help provide students with school supplies before they head back to school. Kosciusko REMC had 42 employees there today to give out backpacks, and even help set up and tear down.
Though it had only started three hours before, by noon CCS had already provided 837 students with school supplies. All of the supplies given out today were donations from people and businesses around the community.
Thankfully, if you missed today’s event, CCS will be providing any leftover supplies at their offices, located at 1195 Mariner’s Drive, Warsaw. Supplies will be limited, but will be provided until they run out.
