Cruisin’ Hoosiers Car Show Rolls In To August First Friday
WARSAW — Engines will be revving up for Warsaw’s August First Friday. “Monkeyin’ Around With The Cruisers” will offer something for both young and old as the annual Baker Youth Club car show and silent auction takes place around the courthouse square.
The silent auction items are numerous and sure to have something to tempt even the most discerning shoppers. The list of items is continuing to grow by the minute and guests are encouraged to peruse the auction while checking out the numerous cars, trucks, motorcycles and “midget cars” at the show. All proceeds raised will go to BYC to help with after school and summer programming.
Also joining the festivities will be the International King Midget Car Club, featuring at least 50 cars from all over the country. The “cute, little midget cars” will be available for public enjoyment in conjunction to the Cruisin’ Hoosiers Car Club show. Music will be provided by the Sock Monkeys at center stage.
Hungry event goers will be treated to some delicious foods and those looking to enjoy some hops can travel over to Rex’s beer tent in the City Hall plaza. The event is sponsored by the Dane And Mary Louise Miller Foundation and the city of Warsaw.
August’s First Friday will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7.
