Max D. Edmonds
Max D. Edmonds, 90, of Plymouth, formerly of rural Argos, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Plymouth.
Max was born March 18,1925, at Mishawaka, Indiana to Myron and Effie (Zehner) Edmonds. He has been a resident of Argos most all his life until they moved into Miller’s Merry Manor Assisted Living in 2013. Max was a graduate of Argos High School in 1943. Max was a farmer and a factory worker, working at Orthopedic Equipment Company in Bourbon and then at Biomet in Warsaw where he retired in 1990.
Max was an avid sports fan following the Argos Dragons where his boys were involved in sports activities. Max also enjoyed his favorite tractor, International Farmall H. He enjoyed his family who will greatly miss him. He also was a faithful member of the Argos United Methodist Church.
On Sept. 4, 1949, he joined in marriage to Lois Carl at Lapel, she survives along with their five children: Rick (Denice) Edmonds, Defiance, Ohio; Kevin (Carol) Edmonds, Leesburg; Terry (Rosemary) Edmonds, Columbia, Tenn.; Kip (Sarah) Edmonds, Tippecanoe; and Kim Edmonds, Chicago, Ill. He was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Lucille Humphries.
The family will recieve friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at Argos United Methodist Church, Argos. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, with one hour visitation prior, at the church with Pastor Heather Foley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, Bourbon.
