BATESVILLE — The mayor of Batesville, IN, has been arrested for patronizing a prostitute. According to Indiana State Police, Richard Fledderman paid for sex with Randy Wigle-Stevens of Indianapolis in June.

Wigle-Stevens has also been arrested, he is charged with prostitution and failing to disclose his HIV status to Fledderman. ISP officials stated that Wigle-Stevens also threatened to go public with the information about his encounter with Fledderman if he was not paid additional money.

Fledderman was charged with one count of patronizing a prostitute, a Class A misdemeanor.

Wigle-Stevens has been charged with prostitution and intimidation, both Class A misdemeanors, and one count of failure to disclose a dangerous communicable disease, a level 6 felony.
