Goshen Cross Country To Serve Community
GOSHEN – With the start of school just around the corner, the Goshen College cross country team is already making the grade.
Based off the principles of Goshen’s five core values, servant leadership will be met as the team will head out for four days of community service.
Tuesday, Aug. 18, the team will be at Interfaith Hospitality Network, 105 S. 3rd St., Goshen. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the team will be cleaning up the playground and painting a playroom.
Wednesday, Aug. 19, the team, along with all Goshen College athletic teams, will spend time between 9-11:30 a.m. helping with various projects around the college campus.
Thursday, Aug. 20, and Friday, Aug. 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the team will be working at Arbor Ridge apartments in north Goshen landscaping and performing other various jobs around the property.
The Goshen College men’s cross country team head into the 2015 competition season fresh off its first-ever appearance at the 2014 NAIA National Championships.
