IU Board Re-elects Tobias As Chair

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana University’s Board of Trustees has re-elected former Eli Lilly and Co. Chief Executive Officer, Randall Tobias, as its chair. He was appointed to the board in 2013 by Governor Mike Pence.
Tobias has also served as deputy secretary of state and was the country’s first global AIDS coordinator with the rank of ambassador.
The nine-member board has also elected MaryEllen Bishop as vice chair of the board, Donald Steven Lukes as treasurer and IU Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer MaryFrances McCourt assistant treasurer. They will all serve one-year terms, ending Aug. 14, 2016.
