Virginia ‘Ginger’ May Lundgren
Virginia “Ginger” May Lundgren of Grace Village Retirement Community of Winona Lake, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw at the age of 93.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego. She graduated in 1942 from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and after finishing school she and her husband were missionaries for 36 years. Twenty of those years were spent in Pakistan.
Virginia was born on Jan. 5, 1922, in Denver, Colo. to Eugene Sydney Zaring and Coletis Audrey (Longcrier) Zaring.
On May 20, 1944, she was married to Paul Fredrick Lundgren, who passed away Nov. 27, 2003.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Paul F. (Carolyn) Lundgren, Arlington Heights, Ill.; two daughters: Winona Jean (Ray) Wakeman, Minneapolis, Minn.; Valerie (Bryon) Weinstein, Warsaw; and two grandchildren: Bonnie (Troy) Francen, Coon Rapids, Minn.; and Sharon Lundgren, Arlington Heights, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her granddaughter: Sara Lundgren.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
There will also be visitation time prior to the service on Saturday. The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego, and officiated by Pastor Greg Harden. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
