Australian Rugby Team To Train At ND
SOUTH BEND – Australia will use the University of Notre Dame as a training base ahead of the Rugby World Cup.
The Australian Rugby Union said today that an extended Wallabies squad will arrive in South Bend on Aug. 29 and train until Sept. 3 before traveling to Chicago’s Soldier Field to play the USA Eagles on Sept. 5.
The Wallabies will return to Notre Dame following the match to continue their preparations. The 31-man World Cup squad departs Indiana for its final camp in Bath, England on Sept. 13.
The Wallabies play their first World Cup match Sept. 23 against Fiji in Cardiff.
