Kosciusko Chamber Celebrates Golf Outing
WARSAW – The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic was a huge success. Approximately 160 golfers, representing Kosciusko County companies, came out on an absolutely gorgeous day to the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club. Teams of four had their choice of two different tee times. At each hole golfers were able to find out about local businesses and receive samples from restaurants and catering companies.
The Warrior Mount Up set-up at a hole and brought two veterans who are in the program. Warrior Mount Up, a Magical Meadows program, provides veterans opportunity to work on physical and emotional stresses associated with keeping this country free and safe. Warriors Mount Up offers several projects to provide physical, social, cognitive, and emotional benefits through therapeutic horseback riding. Kosciusko Chamber President & CEO Mark Dobson putted for golfers and received donations which brought in $1,621. In addition, two golfers won the putting contest and donated the combined $500, for a total of $2,121 to the Warrior Mount Up program.
Several awards and prizes were given away, including:
