Whitley County Accelerator Graduates Food, Ag Ventures

COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County Economic Development Corporation says the latest class of its venture accelerator program has graduated. Program manager, Steve Franks, says the cohort includes women-owned ventures and a disabled veteran who has “re-invented” vertical farming.
The latest class focused on agribusiness and foods businesses. The graduates include Bill Simpson of Bart’s BBQ, Miranda Ringel and Brett and Leanne Facer of Taste of the Town, Corey Jeffries of New Hope Vertical Farm and Laura Richcreek, Laura’s Voice.
Whitley County EDC says it has now graduated 12 ventures from the program. The next cohort will begin this winter.
