Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents.
9:04 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, South CR 400W and West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. Driver: Valenzuela Cortes, 19, South Clover Lane, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
9:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, North CR 500E and East CR 950N, Syracuse. Driver: Dusty E. Rodriguez, Farmington Drive, Traverse City, Mich. Ran into ditch while avoiding a deer. Damage up to $25,000.
6:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, East Armstrong Road and EMS T25 Lane, Leesburg. Drier: Darrian M. Rosenberry, 17, East Bowser Road, Syracuse. Rosenberry lost control of her vehicle and ran it into a nearby yard while trying to avoid a vehicle in her lane. She refused medical treatment. Damage up to $10,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accidents.
10:44 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, South East Street and East Catherine Street, Milford. Drivers: Gary H. Adkins, North East Street, Milford, and Larry E. Ryman, East Catherine Street, Milford. Adkins was backing his vehicle out of a parking space and collided with Ryman’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accidents.
2:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, U.S. Highway 30 and SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Sara A. Skeans, 21, Lakeview Drive, Warsaw, and Jeffrey Gidson, East CR 200S, Columbia City. Skeans rear-ended Gidson’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident.
1:12 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, Lake City Highway and East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Robert E. Hershberger, 41, Birchtree Lane, Fort Wayne. A semi truck driver ran Hershberger off the road, scraping against his passenger side before driving away. A witness confirmed that the truck driver made an abrupt lane change, almost hitting Hershberger’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
12:14 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, Detroit Street and Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Charity M. Trusty, 33, W CR 250S, Warsaw, Ciera N. England, 21, North CR 450W, Columbia City. While making a turn, England became distracted and her vehicle collided with Trusty’s. Trusty complained of lower arm pain. A passenger in Trusty’s vehicle, Ryan A. Davidson, 21, East Sycamore Street, Silver Lake, also complained of pain. Damage up to $25,000.
