UPDATE: Accident On Scott And Center Streets
UPDATE: WARSAW — One person was treated at the scene following a three-vehicle accident at East Center and North Scott streets, Warsaw. The accident occurred at 5:10 p.m.
Pamela D. Lester, 61, Warsaw, complained of pain to the neck, but was not transported to a hospital.
Lester was eastbound on Center Street in her 2001 Cadillac and told Warsaw Police she was not paying attention to the traffic signal, as she was doing math in her head. When she realized the light was red, there was no time to react before her vehicle struck the driver’s side of a 2006 Chevrolet driven by Bret M. Backus, 28, Warsaw. Backus had driven his vehicle into the intersection and was crossing Center Street when his vehicle was struck.
The Lester vehicle then continued and hit the front of a 2008 Buick driven by Heather M. Yates, 34, Bourbon.
The impact between the Lester vehicle and the Backus vehicle, caused the Backus vehicle to spin around 180 degrees. The Yates vehicle was stopped at the traffic light at the time of the accident.
Damage was estimated up to $50,000.
WARSAW — Warsaw Police Department responded to an accident located at the intersection of Scott and Center streets. There were two cars involved in the crash.
