Minor Injuries In Center Street Accident
WARSAW — Two individuals complained of pain following an accident Saturday evening in Warsaw, but refused further medical treatment.
The accident occurred at 11:14 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at Detroit Street, south of Center Street. Charity M. Trusty, 33, West CR 250S, Warsaw, complained of pain to the elbow/lower arm. A passenger in her vehicle, Ryan A. Davisdon, 21, East Sycamore Street, Silver Lake, complained of pain to his head. Neither individual was transported to a hospital.
Trusty told police she had just left McDonald’s and was heading south on Detroit Street in her 2001 Fort Mustang. She stated the traffic control signal was green at the intersection and proceeded through the intersection when she saw a 2006 Chevrolet begin to turn. Trusty stated she could not avoid the accident. The Chevrolet was driven by Ciera N. England, 21, North CR 450W, Columbia City.
England told police she was in the turn lane on Detroit Street, to proceed west onto Center Street, when she looked down for a moment as she began to enter the intersection, when she looked up, she did not see the Mustang until the collision.
Damage was estimated up to $25,000.
Trusty was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and had no insurance.
