Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, East Center Street and North Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Pamela D. Lester, 61, Warsaw; Bret M. Backus, 38, Warsaw; and Heather M. Yates, 34, Bourbon. Lester complained of pain to the neck but was not transported. Lester disregarded the traffic light, hitting the Backus vehicle which was going through the intersection and continued on hitting the Yates vehicle, which was stopped at the intersection. Damage up to $50,000.

2:33 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, Lake City Highway east of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Justin R. Gunter, 21, Warsaw, and Karen A. Stroh, 75, LaPorte. Stroh sustained minor bleeding to the elbow/lower arm and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Gunter was eastbound and  attempting to turn into the median, but was traveling too fast, causing his vehicle to go into the westbound lane of traffic and hitting the Stroh vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
