SILVER LAKE – The Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team will host an ice cream fundraiser Wednesday, Sept. 9, at The Igloo in Silver Lake.

The ice cream social will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at The Igloo, with 20 percent of the proceeds going directly toward the Lady Viking basketball program.

Tippecanoe Valley made a memorable and improbable run to the IHSAA Class 3-A state finals last year. Valley won the Three Rivers Conference and withstood a double-overtime win over NorthWood in the sectional, a pair of overtime wins in the regional against Muncie Central and Norwell, and took down TRC rival Rochester in the semi-state before losing to Jackie Young and Princeton in the state finals.

Valley set a school record with 25 wins under coach Chris Kindig and reached the semi-state and state finals for the first time in program history.
