Julie Datsko Koleff
Julie Datsko Koleff, 93, of Warsaw, passed away at 10:54 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
She had been a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past four years, and a long-time resident of East Gary/Lake Station. Julie was a very loving and compassionate person helping those in need of assistance. Julie loved to cook and dance .., but most of all she especially loved her family. She was a longtime member of The Protection of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Hobart.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1922, in East Gary, to Nick Datsko and Josephine (Toborski) Datsko.
On Aug. 5, 1942 she was married to Sam Koleff for 42 years before he passed away on Jan. 29, 1985.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Susan Overton, Warsaw; step-daughter: Dorothy Bailey, Merrillville; two grandchildren: Laura Overton, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mitchell (wife Maggie) Overton, Omaha, Neb.; and three stepgrandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother: Michael (wife Linda) Lubeck, Portage, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Nick, five sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Her funeral service will follow viewing at 1 p.m. Monday, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Mike Beezley. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
