Many Visit Annual Homes On Parade
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — There was a consistent stream of spectators at the 2015 Homes on Parade over the weekend, visiting six homes — three in Warsaw, two in Syracuse and one in Winona Lake.
Renewal Homes presented two homes in the event, one at 28 Trailside Drive, Winona Lake and a second one at 2665 Lake Tahoe Trail, Warsaw.
The Trailside Drive home, in the Wooded Hills addition, is a 3,600 square-foot, four bedroom, 3.5 bath home featuring cedar shake siding, master stonework and craftsman-inspired gable beams. The home has a custom kitchen with an adjacent great room featuring a 10-foot coffered ceiling and wall-to-wall windows. The walk-out lower level featured 10-foot ceilings and a large family room with an additional 1,000 square foot area allowing space for a variety of options.
The Lake Tahoe Trail home, in the Shadow Lakes addition, is a three-story 5,600 square-foot home with six bedrooms 4.5 baths. The main floor provides a view of the property’s pond and wooded lot with a kitchen that provides a work island that seats six. The master suite is divided into bed and sitting areas with a see-through fireplace and the lower level includes a bar, theatre and guest area. The main floor features an open deck with a patio opening off the lower level.
Miller Brothers Builders, Inc., featured a duplex home on Vixen Lane, Warsaw, set in a condo community. The 1,563 square foot home spreads out from a great room to surrounding rooms. The sunroom provides a setting for entertaining. The home is designed to meet the needs of active seniors with no-step entry, a heated crawlspace and handicap adaptability.
The Chapman Lake Drive home, built by Signature Building & Design, LLC., was a unique rustic home on a steep and narrow lot. Wood ceilings, cable railing, and an open layout were among the features of the three-story, five level home. The living area provides a full view of the lake and offers a second story walkout on to the deck. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom for guests, office and sitting area. The master suite is located on the top level with a custom walk-in shower and a kitchenette.
Milestone Construction featured a home on East Pickwick Park Drive, Syracuse. The two-story home on Lake Wawasee has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and an attached two-car garage. The first floor features an open concept for a view of the lake from the kitchen, living room and dining room. A screened in porch is accessible from the living room and bedroom. The second floor features four bedrooms and bathrooms along with a study and a bonus room. A wine cellar is located in the crawl space.
The North Lake Street home in Syracuse, built by Coplen Construction, Inc., is on the shores of Syracuse Lake and designed for the lake as well as aging in place features. The main level has the amenities to make life easy and the lower level walk-out has room for summer guests stopping by for extended stays.
The annual Homes on Parade is hosted by the Builders Association Kosciusko and Fulton Counties.
