Homeschoolers
SYRACUSE — Homeschooling families are meeting to share ideas at the Syracuse Library at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. This orientation will allow parents and children to meet and plan future activities. The group did not meet last year as several families had left the area. This year is a whole new group of families that can decide on a meeting schedule and range of activities. Families are asked to inform the library if they are interested in attending and if they would prefer to meet another time. Call the library at (574) 457-3022.
Young Adults
Young people are invited to eat fudge cones at the regular young adult book club meeting. Teens are invited to come and talk about books at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. Voting for the 2015 Prinz Award for the best young adult literature will be discussed. This is free and open to any teens from sixth grade through high school.
Friends of the Library
The friends of the library are looking at decorating needs to help with the completion of the library remodeling. Fundraising ideas will also be discussed. The group meets for an hour at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
