NAPPANEE — Vondee Wood, 38, Warsaw, complained of pain to the head and neck following a three-vehicle accident at 12:53 p.m. today, Monday, Sept. 14. The accident was on SR 19, south of CR 46, north of Nappanee.

Elkhart County Police report Ryne Garner, 26, Nappanee, was northbound on SR 19, when his vehicle collided with the back of a stopped vehicle, driven by Terry Lentz, 57, Nappanee. After impact, Lentz’s vehicle spun into the opposite lane of travel, causing Wood’s vehicle to hit the back of the Lentz vehicle. Lentz’s vehicle then went off the roadway.

Wood was taken to IU Health Goshen. No one else was injured.

Garner was cited for unsafe speed.
