Frosh Gridders Enjoy Another Win
After suffering their first loss of the season, the Wawasee Warriors freshmen team picked up a 24-0win at Concord Thursday evening.
The Warriors scored one offense, defense and special teams as well as hit a 38-yard field goal.
Wawasee (3-1) will host NorthWood next Thursday.
Concord Sweeps Wawasee
The varsity volleyball team fell in three straight games to Concord Thursday night.
Concord dominated the first game 25-7 before the Warriors woke up. The Minutmen won the next two 25-19, 25-23.
Seaquinn Bright led Wawasee with 17 digs and six kills.
Wawasee is now 1-12 on the year and 0-3 in the NLC.
The JV team lost 25-12, 25-17 and now sits at 9-4 on the season.
The C-team also played and was swept by Concord, 25-11, 25-21 but beat Lakeland 25-17, 25-11 and now has a mark of 6-8 for the year.
JV Soccer Ties, Varsity Loses
The girls varsity soccer team dropped a 7-1 decision to DeKalb to fall to 3-7-1. Leigh-Ann Shrack scored Wawasee’s only goal to give the visitors a 1-0 lead in the first half.
The junior varsity team was lifted to a tie on a goal from Haley Smarr to tie 1-1. The JV is now 1-4-2.
