SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Library is bringing Lego building blocks in for a monthly Saturday Program. Families are invited to drop-in at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, to complete a building set or improvise a free form Lego creation. The library staff will post a picture of the finished creations on Facebook.
Toddler Dance is a new monthly program that starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30. A whole new story time begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 6. Preschoolers can come on either or both Monday and Tuesday for the eight-week session. All meetings are free and open to any interested people. Tim Dorsey
The premier adult discussion group, Dysfunctional, is reviewing the writing career of Florida author Tim Dorsey, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24. The book club is a powerpoint centered discussion about the author and the series of Serge Storms books. Emphasis will be placed on the books “Triggerfish Twist” and “Stingray Shuffle.” Fans of Florida mayhem, Dorsey, and mystery fiction are invited to come to this last meeting of the summer.
Good Used Books
The Friends of the Library are requesting that anyone who is thinking about donating their gently used books to bring them to the Syracuse Library now. Proceeds from the ongoing used book sale help finance special programs for children, young adults, and adults. A letter of acceptance can be written by the library for tax purposes.
