Annual Volleyball Pink Out Night Set For Thursday
WARSAW – The Warsaw Community High School’s volleyball teams are having their annual Pink Out Night when the Tigers host Northern Lakes Conference rival Wawasee this Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Tiger Den.
The event is designed to raise awareness of the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer. Games start at 5:30 p.m. with the freshman and JV games, with the varsity matchup to follow. Fans are invited to join the teams in wearing pink. Proceeds from the matches are being given to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.
Part of the evening’s activities will include a ‘Tossing For A Cure’ event, where participants can purchase a mini pink volleyball to aim at a bin. Successful landing in the bin will score a WCHS All-Sports season pass.
There will also be a Wall Of Hope, designed to show support to those affected by cancer. Tiger Paws with the names of those honored will be hung on the Wall Of Hope free of charge.
Tickets for the games are $5 and can be purchased at the gate Thursday.
