IBOP Hosts Fellowship Missions Auction
Indiana Business Opportunity Partners (iBOP) held a charity quarter auction for Fellowship Missions in Warsaw on Sept. 19, at the American Legion Post #49 in Warsaw. The iBOP group was able to make an $1,166 donation to Fellowship Missions and wish to thank those that supported the event.
Fellowship Missions Homeless Shelters were created to meet the needs of people in our community through sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ. It is Fellowship Missions’ heart’s desire to give individuals a safe and loving place and to help them achieve a better way for themselves and their families.
There were over 100 items to bid on from direct sales consultants and handmade items from crafters for the event.
iBOP’s next event is the fifth annual Winter Wonderland, a combination craft/vendor fair and quarter auction. It will be held at the Baker Youth Club, located in the old YMCA building at 1401 E. Smith St. Warsaw, on Nov. 14. The Craft/Vendor Fair begins at 9 a.m. with the doors for the quarter auction to open at noon and the auction beginning at 1 p.m. There will be grab bags for the first 200 people age 18 and over through the door of the craft portion of the event. The iBOP group is currently looking for unique crafters for this event.
A quarter auction is a fun way to support a charity and maybe pick up some gifts for yourself or someone else for mere quarters. You will want to purchase your tickets in advance for $5 each as seating is limited. Tickets will be $7 at the door if any are remaining.
You then will exchange your ticket for a paddle and a numbered ball. When you decide you would like to try to win the item up for bid you will put the appropriate number of quarters in a bucket in the middle of the table and hold your numbered paddle up high. For example a $45 item is only a two quarter bid. If your numbered ball is drawn and you have bid, you win that item for just 2 quarters!
