NEW PARIS — Two people were checked at the scene of an accident that occurred around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the intersection of SR 15 and US 6.

The driver of an old ambulance reportedly struck the side of an SUV, causing extensive damage to the side of the SUV and resulting in injuries to the passenger. The passenger, an 80-year-old female, signed off at the scene after being treated for a laceration to her arm.

New Paris Fire and Jackson Township EMS responded to the scene along with Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
