Syracuse Man Injured In Elkhart County
GOSHEN — A Syracuse man was injured in an accident at CR 13 and CR 40, west of Goshen, at 8:06 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Richard Cripe, 80, Syracuse, complained of pain to the neck and head and suffered lacerations to the left arm and left ear. Also injured was Felix Mendoza, 54, Goshen, who complained of pain to the chest and suffered an abrasion to the left arm. Both men were transported to IU Health Goshen.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department officers report Cripe was stopped on CR 40 at CR 13, and then continued east on CR 40 hitting the Mendoza vehicle. Mendoza was traveling south on CR 13 and had the right of way.
Cripe was issued a warning for failure to yield the right of way at the intersection.
