Bremen Rolls In Round One
BREMEN – The Bremen Lions had no trouble advancing to the semi-finals of the Bremen Boys Tennis Sectional Wednesday afternoon at DeSantis Courts. The Lions rolled on all five courts to eliminate LaVille, 5-0.
The No. 1 singles play of Bryce Devine and the No. 3 singles work of Carter Filchak was too much for Dustin Royer and Leonardo Martinelli to handle in love-love shutouts. Zac Burkholder was nearly equal to the task at No. 2, blowing past Cameron McDaniel one and love.
The Lions No. 1 doubles team of Jacob Strehler and Josh Unkinski took care of Brandon Haisley and Eric Eggebrecht two and one while Chandler Snyder and Bryce Sterling were sharp in a love and one result against Connor Carlisle and Robert Clingaman.
Bremen advances to face Triton today in one semi-final opposite Plymouth and John Glenn battling in the other semi-final, all matches starting at 4:30 p.m. The tournament final will be Friday at 4:30 p.m., all at DeSantis.
