Stop By Pierceton Fire Department
PIERCETON — If you haven’t made it to the Pierceton Fire Department this evening, Friday, Oct. 9, there is still time to make the open house and have a fun family evening. The event goes on until 7 p.m.
Pierceton Fire Department is hosting a Fire Prevention Week Open House. The event is in partnership with Paragon Medical and the American Red Cross. The evening is geared toward all ages for a night of fun and interactive learning. Pierceton Lions are also on hand with information.
Young and young at heart have the opportunity to visit six stations: education, life as a fireman, building a fireman hat, stop, drop and roll, exploration of trucks, CPR/First aid. Those who receive stamps from all six station will have the knowledge and preparation needed to become a Junior Pierceton Fireman.
A free goody bag with not only information sheets but coupons for free goody treats, waterbottle and stickers. A number of area businesses have donated coupons to be placed in the goody bags.
There is an opportunity to sign up for free fire alarms (up to three per household), which come with a 10-year life battery given away to any family requesting assistance.
There is also a free dinner being brought in by Big Boss BBQ.
