Tigers’ Pride Band To Compete In State Finals
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community High School Marching Tigers’ Pride will compete in Scholastic State Finals for the third consecutive year.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, the band competed in the Indiana State School Music Association Scholastic State Preliminary contest at Homestead High School. Warsaw qualified for Scholastic State Finals by earning a gold rating from a panel of six judges at the preliminaries.
Scholastic State Finals will be held at Lawrence Central High School on Oct. 24. The Tigers’ Pride will compete in the Scholastic A Class with their program, “While the City Sleeps…”. The show utilizes music, visuals and sound effects to depict scenes and themes representing a dark, urban landscape.
The band is under the direction of Mickey Ratliff and Emily Mikel.
