Steven Earl France, 67, of Roann, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at his home. He was born March 15, 1948, in Wabash, to Juanita (France) Gaines.

Steven was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He worked at W and W Concrete in North Manchester for several years. He was a mechanic who enjoyed working on automobiles and lawn mowers. Steven also enjoyed going out to eat with his friends.

He is survived by three daughters: Tracy France, North Manchester; Lindsay France, Silver Lake; Amber Rupley, Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. He was preceded in death by his mother: Juanita M. Gaines.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Frances Slocum Cemetery, Wabash County. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home.
