Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:55 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, South CR 450W, south of West CR 525S, Claypool. Driver: Samantha J. Skeens, 28, North Etna Street, Etna Green. Skeens complained of pain to the knee/lower leg/foot and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Also injured were passengers: Thomas E. Skeens, 46, North Etna Street, Etna Green and Thomas H. Skeens, 73, Jane Brown Drive, Prestonbsburg, Ky., both complained of pain to the back. Skeens swerved to miss a deer in the roadway, went off the road, caught on fire. Damage up to $10,000.
5:48 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, North SR 13, south of CR 900N, Syracuse. Driver: John T. Young, 36, Langford Lane, Fort Wayne. Young was on the phone and not paying attention when his vehicle collided with a road closed sign. Damage up to $5,000.
6:36 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, North Fox Farm Road, south of South Side Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: David M. Ide, 61, West CR 100N, Logansport, and William A. Moore, 17, West Monoquet Road, Warsaw. Ide’s vehicle struck the back of the Moore vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:02 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, South SR 15, south of West CR 950S, Silver Lake. Drivers: Shirleyrae R. Goodrich, 49, Lincoln Avenue, Three Rivers, Mich. Her GPS system advised her to turn left, when she did, she drove into a ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:51 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, North Detroit Street, north of West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Gavin L. Pauwels, 19, North Bobwhite Drive, Warsaw, and Erika U. Gomora, 25, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Pauwels’ vehicle struck the back of the Gomora vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
