Glow-N-Dark Run Thanks
Dear Editor,
The Kosciusko County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 149 would like to sincerely thank all the sponsors and individuals who participated and assisted in the first Glow-N-Dark 5K run held last Saturday evening, Oct. 11, in Winona Lake. Excellent weather and great people came together for a fun-filled night of exercise, friendship and brotherhood for a good cause.
Several awards were presented for various age groups, as well an overall award for top male and female runners of the entire race, according to FOP vice president and organizer, Jim Smith. Proceeds from the race are used to provide funding for the annual Christmas with a Cop program to assist low-income children with clothing and a gift while shopping with a local law enforcement officer.
Again, our deepest thanks to all those individuals, dispatchers, and volunteers that assisted in donating their time during and after the 5K run, along with the Kosciusko Runners Association members and their equipment.
