Whitko Marching Pride Advances To ISSMA Semi-State
SOUTH WHITLEY — The Whitko Marching Pride has qualified for the Indiana Sate School Music Association Semi-State. This is the first time in seven years the band, composed of 20 high school students under the direction of Joey Shepherd, has competed in Open Class D.
According to Shepherd, they will be the smallest band in the state competing in the Class D level.
Their show is called “In the Moods.” It features the music, “Setting the Mood,” “Hallelujah,” “Mars” and “Happy.”
Whitko Marching Pride will be competing in the Open Class Semi-State Finals at Franklin Community High School.
