Electric violinist and vocalist Cathy Morris has been heard throughout Central Indiana – and throughout the state and region for that matter – for years. She has played during concerts, festival stages and major televised events.
Opening for big names like Al Jarreau, Burt Bacharach, George Benson, Chuck Mangione, Rick Braun, Fourplay, Najee and many others, she has also performed her original music as a guest soloist with orchestras and jazz bands.
A recording artist, Morris has five CDs of original music to her credit, in addition to her holiday disc entitled “A Cathy Morris Christmas,” the 2005 release “Cathy Morris Latin Jazz” and her 2006 release “Sacred Romance: violin and piano duets accompanying Sufi poetry.” Morris, a dedicated educator, has also collaborated regularly with students performing convocations, conducting workshops and performing her original music in side-by-side concerts with student orchestras.
