Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

5:35 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 21, East CR 700N and North CR 200E, Leesburg. Drivers: Donald A. Walters, 41, West CR 625S, Claypool, and Gabrielle E. Flannery, 19, Aspen Court, Warsaw. Flannery was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital after complaining of pain to the head. Walters was southbound on CR 200E, stopped at the intersection before pulling into the intersection in front of the Flannery vehicle. Walters was arrested for driving while suspended and cited for failure to yield. Damage up to $25,000.

9:49 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, South Ferguson Road and West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: James F. Bickel, 80, East Rochester Street, Akron, and Sarah D. Peyton, 40, South Raspberry Court, Warsaw. Bickel was stopped at the stop sign, when he started to go forward, the truck and trailer rolled back, causing the trailer to hit the bumper of the Peyton vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

9:54 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, East Chicago Street and Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Dustin J. Krapf, 35, High Drive, Lagrange, Texas, and Kenneth W. Boren, 61, Lakeshore Drive, Bremen. Krapf was backing from a drive, backing into the Boren vehicle. Krapf was cited for operating a vehicle with a specified amount of alcohol or controlled substance in his system and possession of marijuana. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9:56 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, Lake City Highway and Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Drivers: Ralph J. Godwin, 54, Smith Street, Ansonia, Ohio, and William D. Batchelor, 51, Driftwood Trail, Burlington, Wis. Godwin’s vehicle struck the back of the Batchelor’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

7:53 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, Lake City Highway and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Bryan E. Wolfe, 40, North Fish Hatchery Road, Columbia City, and Brittany S. Laux, 23, West SR 14, Columbia City. Wolfe’s vehicle struck the back of the Laux vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
