Bruce Lenz
Bruce Lenz, 77, Rochester, passed away, Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
He was born June 28, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., to the late George and Francis (Bell) Lenz.
Bruce married the love of his life Gwendoline Doris Randall Lenz in Kokomo, on July 5, 1958, and had three children. Bruce was a meat cutter for 47 years and worked for Kroger as a Meat Manager for 40 years. After “retiring” he moved on to enjoying the outdoors in building his own business; window cleaning in the community. Bruce and his wife loved traveling around the world with their family. He also enjoyed boating and camping with his many friends. He never knew a stranger, and was known for his wonderful smile.
Bruce dedicated his life to Jehovah God and endeavored to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Bruce devoted his life to the ministry. He loved telling others about the good news of God’s Kingdom and the wonderful hope for the future.
Bruce is survived by his wife: Gwendoline Lenz; his sisters and brother: Camilla Rosam, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Dolly Lenz, St. Louis, Mo.; William Lenz, Calif.; Kathleen Guthohrel, Peru. He was preceded in death by his sister: Audrey Lenz. Also surviving are children: David Lenz, Rochester; Stephen (Marlene) Lenz, Brazil; Teresa (Grant) Lenz Wilson, Rochester; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many neices and nephews.
Visitation for Bruce Lenz will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Good Family Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Kingdom Hall, Rochester.
