UPDATE: No Injuries In Car Vs. Semi Accident
WARSAW — There were no sustained injuries in the semi vs. car accident yesterday, Thursday, Oct. 22. The accident occurred at SR 15, near the overpass of U.S. 30.
Anna Craig, 16, Sand Hill Lane, Warsaw, who was driving a 2002 Honda CRV, was complaining of chest pain but declined medical treatment at the scene. She advised police her mother would take her to be checked out medically later.
Warsaw Police Officer David Morales reported Craig was driving south on SR 15, and did not stop for her red light, causing her to collide with a semi truck driven by Joel Yoder, 32, CR 44, Butler. Craig told police she could not see whether the light was green because the semi was blocking it.
Yoder, who was stopped at the light on the U.S. 30 ramp, stated when his light turned green, he turned onto SR 15. As he was turning, Craig’s vehicle struck the semi.
Damages from the accident could result in up to $25,000.
