Mark Calendars For Syracuse FOL Meetings
SYRACUSE — Friends of the Syracuse Public Library has announced its monthly meetings running through the rest of this year up to the end of 2016.
During the meetings, committee needs and projects will be discussed. The Friends are always seeking new members and volunteers to serve on one or more of its committees in order to accomplish goals set for the year. Existing committees are hospitality, exhibit and decorate, publicity, fundraising and membership.
Meetings are at 3 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. The dates of upcoming meetings are Nov. 5, Dec. 3, Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov. 3 and Dec. 1.
Currently planned Friends projects include purchasing a floor lamp and two table lamps in the Frank Lloyd Wright style to launch its library decorating program. The Friends have also formulated a lot of ideas for plants, pictures, displays and cozy reading areas.
