WARSAW — MedStat will open a new, full-service, urgent-care and occupational health clinic Friday, Nov. 20, in Nappanee.
“We are happy to provide nearby urgent care and occupational health for the Nappanee area with a full-service MedStat right in town,” said Kirk Ray, chief executive officer, Kosciusko Community Hospital. “Treating illness and non-emergent injuries in the evenings or on the weekends just got easier for Elkhart County residents who no longer have to drive many miles or go to a hospital for non-emergency health issues.”
The new walk-in clinic is located at 1001 N. Main St., Nappanee. Hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and closed Sunday.
“Having MedStat expand its services in Nappanee is positive for the community,” said Megan Martin, director, MedStat. “It expands medical access to the community and allows savings and convenience for patients who experience non-critical illnesses.”
“We’re pleased that the new MedStat clinic increases access to urgent care and occupational medicine needs for our community,” said Nappanee Mayor Larry Thompson. “We view this development as growth for the community as well as a potential benefit for attracting businesses to locate here.”
MedStat was established in 1996 to treat patients with illnesses or injuries that do not require a trip to the emergency room and also provide occupational health services to area businesses. All MedStat clinics located in Warsaw, Syracuse and Nappanee are staffed by physicians and advanced practice providers. MedStat offers X-ray, laboratory and prescription services on site with convenient locations and hours. Appointments are not necessary.
