Deer Crashes Into Michigan Home, Destroys Everything In Its Path
MOUNT CLEMENS, MICH. — A Michigan family is still in shock after a deer jumped through a window in their home, destroying everything in its path.
“I was like, ‘Call 911, call 911. I’m coming home now!'” said homeowner Nicole Gietzen.
She was at work when she said she got a call from her daughter that a deer was inside their Mount Clemens, Michigan home.
“I come home, and low and behold I have a huge hole in my window, and glass everywhere and there’s a deer locked in my daughter’s room, banging down her room,” Nicole said.
“I didn’t really realize what was happening, it went by so fast, and all I see is all the glass on the ground and the deer running toward the back room,” said Courtney, Nicole’s daughter.
The deer entered the house through the front picture window. It took off down the hallway and eventually barged into a bedroom, trampling over everything in its path and leaving blood all over the place.
“It charges after me, so I kind of jump back on my bed and it just started coming after me,” said Taylor Gietzen, another daughter.
They finally locked the deer in one of the bedrooms.
It took two hours and five tranquilizers to subdue it.
Nobody was hurt, but the family said they’re still in shock.
“It’s like something you see in movies, like you never just think in a neighborhood like this that a deer is going to jump through your window and try to attack you in your house,” Taylor said.
‘You don’t see deer around here and how does one pick my house and jump through my window? Nicole asks.
She said it may take a few weeks to replace the window and get things back to normal.
