Richard Working Record Ninth State VB Finals
MUNCIE – The Indiana High School Athletic Association has announced the officials that will be working in the 44th annual State Volleyball Finals to be held this Saturday, Nov. 7, at Worthen Arena on the campus of Ball State University.
Dan Richard, Warsaw, has been assigned to work as Referee No. 1 at the Class 3-A final match between Yorktown and Providence at 3 p.m. Richard has been officiating high school and college volleyball 34 years. He has worked 29 volleyball sectionals, 21 regionals, 12 semi-states, and this will be his record-setting ninth appearance at the State Volleyball Finals.
Richard and his wife, Becky, have been married for 40 years with two children, Erin and Kelly. He is a 1971 graduate of Carmel High School and 1975 graduate of Ball State University where he was a member of the Ball State University men’s volleyball team. He is employed as Director of the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission.
Richard is a member of the Northern Indiana Officials Association.
