MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Nearly two dozen colleges and universities based in Indiana have been named “military friendly” by a national research organization. Victory Media Inc. bases the classification off of survey data on more than 10,000 schools throughout the country.
The categories with the most “weight” are academic credibility, support on campus, admissions and orientation, graduation and retention rates, military student body composition and career outcome. To a lesser extent, it also considers factors such as government approvals, tuition assistance, flexibility and military spouse policies.
