Award Nominations Sought
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce is accepting award nominations to be presented at its annual awards dinner. This year’s event will be held Jan. 28.
Nominations are being south for Man and Woman of the Year, Employer of the Year, Government Excellence, Dimensions of Excellence in four categories and Young Adult Professional. Each category has its own criteria and forms for nominations. Links to the forms are provided.
Nominees for the Man and Woman of the Year is open to any person who resides in the county and has made a contribution to the county. The nominee must be a resident of the county for not less than five years and has made a positive impact on the quality of life in the county. The nominator is asked to provide the nominees organization memberships, his contributions to community organizations and service clubs, in work, church, family and other areas.
The Employer of the Year award is given to employers who demonstrate outstanding achievements in promoting supported employment, making accommodations and including people with disabilities in the workplace. Nominators for this award are asked to answer specific questions and provide as many specific examples as possible to “tell the story” of why the employer deserves to win the award.
The Government Excellence Award recognizes any officials, elected or appointed, who has performed a particular service or overall effectiveness in office on behalf of residents within the county, is currently in any level of government office or who has been out of office no more than two years on a local, state or federal level and who has demonstrated commitment to supporting business.
Nominees for the Dimensions of Excellence Business Awards, also known as Outstanding Business Award, should meet one or more of the following criteria: additional employees, new capital investment, increased sales, longevity, unique service/product or process and community involvement/support. This award is presented in such categories as general business, entrepreneur, industrial business and service.
Th Young Adult Professional Award is presented to any person 39 years or young, employed in Kosciusko County, achieved success and excelled in his field before the age of 40 and has demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication in pursuing their careers and commitments outside of work.
