Successful Kids Market Event
Dear Editor,
On Sept. 19, Kids Market Inc., a nonprofit organization, held its semi-annual sale at The Heritage Room, formally known as Rodeheaver, on the campus of Grace College. The organization’s mission is, “supporting women and children in Kosciusko County by distributing proceeds generated from consignment sales of infant and children’s items to nonprofit organizations in Kosciusko County.”
On behalf of Kids Market Inc., we would like to publicly thank the local businesses for their continued support for helping us make our Fall Sale a success: Grace College for contributing racks upon racks to hang clothes; Creative Technology Solutions, Winona Lake Parks Department and the Winona Lake Police Department for supplies and assistance; and Applebee’s, Arbys, Cerulean, Hacienda, Karen’s Home Style, Pizza Hut – Lake Village, Pizza Hut – Detroit Street, Owens, Rabb Kenetico, and Walmart for the donation of food which allowed our volunteers to be energized throughout their shifts for four days.
Also, a thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers who sign up to volunteer for four hours during the sale weekend. Without our volunteers, this sale would not be possible.
Since the organization’s first sale in fall, 2001, Kids Market has donated more than $212,000 to local nonprofits that fall within our mission. With the help and support from these companies and volunteers, Kids Market’s work is able to make an impact on our community. Thank you for what you do for the women and children of Kosciusko County.
Sincerely,
Allison McSherry
