Charlotte Sue Amburgy
Charlotte Sue Amburgy of South Whitley, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at her residence surrounded by family at the age of 50.
Charlotte was born on April 24, 1965 in Warsaw to Ronald Dewayne Heeter and Myrtle Marie (Tackett) Heeter.
On Feb. 12, 1983, she was married to Phillip Amburgy, together they had three children before they divorced in 2008.
She attended Warsaw High School in Warsaw. Charlotte was a hard worker throughout her life. She had worked as a powder coater at Winona Powder Coating Inc. in Mentone, for many years. She also worked in quality control for Little Crow Foods in Warsaw until the plant closed.
In her 50 years Charlotte was a sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family.
She is survived by her son: Phillip Amburgy, Jr. and his wife Amee, Rochester; two daughters: Alicia Gibbs (partner Jessika Greene), Rochester; Misty Garrett (husband Jeremy), Warsaw; and five grandchildren, all of Warsaw: Dakota, Mikaylynn; Ramey Gibbs; Khloe Harris; and Mattix Garrett. Also surviving is her significant other: Fred Prater, South Whitley; four brothers: Jim Heeter, Warsaw; Donald Heeter, Palestine; Melvin (wife Wendy) Heeter, Palestine; Ronald (wife Kris) Heeter Jr., South Whitley; five sisters: Joan Evans, Warsaw; Rhonda (husband Bob) Utter, Talma; Cheryl Pitts (fiancé John Rhoads), Palestine; Vickie (husband Mark) Holloway, Warsaw; and Loretta (husband Shawn) Carpenter, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Her funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Charlie Trout and Pastor Dave Tackett. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Charlotte Amburgy Fund that is set up at PNC Bank in Warsaw and may also be left at the funeral home and would be appreciated by the family.
