Tracy Newcomer
Tracy Newcomer, 58, Nappanee, died at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at Elkhart Hospice House with his family by his side.
He was born Feb. 26, 1957, in Goshen to Max and Patricia (Replogle) Newcomer. Tracy was a lifetime resident of Nappanee. On May 22, 1982, he married Delores Smith at Union Center Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Newcomer was a 1975 graduate of NorthWood High School and a graduate of Wyoming Tech in Laramie, WY. He was the owner of Newcomer Service Station since 1985. Tracy was a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God and attended Nappanee Missionary Church. He was a former member of the Nappanee Smokey Stover Fire Department from 1982 to 2010 and was named Fireman of the Year in 1986. Tracy loved his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife: Delores; daughter: Andrea (Jason) Seedorff, Goshen; son: Gary (Lisa) Newcomer, Holland, Mich.; grandchildren: Ayden and Kaylee Newcomer; Max Seedorff; sister: Sue (Doug) Purdue, Goshen; brother: Ryan (Valerie) Newcomer, Bristol; Wayne (Jackie) Newcomer, Lafayette; Dale (Phyllis) Newcomer, New Paris; stepmother: Bonnie Newcomer, Nappanee; stepsister: Sheri (Tom) Bradway, Nappanee; and stepbrother: Steve (Kim) Reaker, Nappanee.
Family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel and for one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, Funeral Service, at the Church. Pastor Dave Engbrecht and Pastor Joe Focht will officiate. Burial will be In Union Center Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Rehabilitation Institute Center in Chicago for specialized traumatic brain injuries. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
